“My wife made a better man of me. I grew up and took more responsibility; not that I was a bad man to live with, but I took too much for granted. She’s a good soulmate. We’ve been married for 58 years. She has Parkinson’s disease now. We lived 48 years in Highlandtown in a three-story home. We had five children. They’re wonderful children, each one individually. They became successful in life, and they helped us out a great deal. They do our shopping. They helped get us here. My son, Paul, is deceased. He was 54. He died in his sleep on January 24th, 2017, on a Tuesday. A year before that, on January the 16th, our grandson passed away in his sleep. He was 34. That was awful hard to take. It won’t be forgotten.”
