“Some people aren’t in it for the right reasons. I tell them you have to be there for your residents–not for a paycheck. I’m there to advocate for the residents because my grandma was in a nursing home and they didn’t take care of her in a good way, and she actually died because of that. She was already cold before they even found her. She had been laying there for a while.”
What led you to become a CNA? “Because of what happened to my grandma. Everyone was blaming it on the CNAs and there were only two of them on the shift. What were they supposed to do? They didn’t have enough people.”
Congratulations Sam, you have a big heart.
