“I read Bill Thomas’ book What Are Old People For? and it was a very freeing experience for me, because I was not looking at my aging 100 percent positively. Out of that, I thought, ‘what the heck, just let go and enjoy living and don’t worry about the freckles and gray hair–no more bottles of $70 dollar face creams or whatever and go on and live life.’ Fortunately, I have not had any major health problems. So at 78, I still have quite a bit of energy, and I’m just doing it.”
