What’s it like to be a CNA right now?
Jami: “It can be frightening and stressful, and pulling on our emotions. Fast moving changes are stressful on staff and more stressful on the residents. Even though our residents see us everyday, some don’t recognize us behind the mask. They haven’t been able to touch their families in months. Some FaceTime their loved ones, some talk on the phone, but we all know that’s not the same. Then we have some that don’t understand and think their families don’t love them anymore. Everyday life has changes for everyone, especially the residents. The not knowing is the stressful part.”
