“I’m not about regrets anymore. I’m just about being thankful for where I am now and what I’m doing now. I’m proud of my life now. The best part of being older is the experience and being able to try to tell the younger people in my life–my nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews–to warn them of certain things. Because when you have that experience, you see things coming. You know the path that’s coming and you know what it’s going to lead to. And you want to head them off at the pass. But sometimes it may be something that they have to do. That’s the good and bad about being older. But now I like being settled and not having to do anything and being fully independent. I relish my independence. I really do.”
